En (in, on, at)
La blusa rosa está en la maleta.
The pink blouse is in the suitcase.
El teléfono de mi padre está en la mesa.
My father’s phone is on the table.
Al lado de (next to)
El frigorífico está al lado de la estufa.
The refrigerator is next to the stove.
Hay una tienda al lado del quiosco de periódicos.
There’s a store next to the newsstand.
A la izquierda de (to the left of)
El parque está a la izquierda de la casa de Ricardo.
The park is to the left of Ricardo’s house.
En la foto Carmen está a la izquierda de Juan.
In the picture Carmen is to Juan’s left.
A la derecha de (to the right of)
La escuela está a la derecha de la catedral.
The school is to the right of the cathedral.
La farmacia está a la derecha del centro de ocio. Ahora está cerrada.
