The Spanish Imperfect (Pretérito Imperfecto) is one of the two simple past tenses the Spanish language has. In this article, we are going to see the forms of the only three irregular verbs in Spanish Imperfect tense. You can also practice them with some exercises.

Irregular Verbs in Spanish Imperfect Tense

The Spanish Imperfect is used to express habits or routines in the past, to make descriptions in the past or to express politeness at the moment of speaking. Their forms are mainly regular for all verbs. However, there are 3 irregular verbs that you need to study by heart. These are the verbs ser (to be), ir (to go) and ver (to see, to watch).

Ir in Imperfect
