Echar (to throw)
No eches esos documentos a la papelera.
Don’t throw those documents to the wastebasket.
No deberías echar nada por la ventana. Es peligroso.
You shouldn’t throw anything out your window. It is dangerous.
Echar (to pour)
If you are pouring a drink, then you should use the verb
Por favor, no eches más leche al café.
Don’t pour more milk into the coffee, please.
Nos echaron un poco de zumo en un vaso.
They poured us some juice into a glass.
Echar (to add)
For example, if you are cooking and you need to add anything, you should say
